My role in ERC and how I see the future
I have worked in insurance since 1984 and have led ERC since its establishment in 2008. My focus is to provide clear, responsible advice that helps individuals and businesses understand their risks and choose protection with confidence.

I have worked in the insurance industry since 1984, building experience across client advisory, insurance placement and business leadership. Since establishing ERC in 2008, my focus has been to help individuals and businesses understand their risks, make informed decisions and put suitable protection in place.
I hold the Chartered Insurance Practitioner qualification from the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK, and an Associate qualification from the Malaysian Insurance Institute. These qualifications, together with decades of practical experience, have shaped my belief that insurance advice should be clear, responsible and centred on the client’s actual needs.
At ERC, my role is to provide direction, maintain strong insurer and industry relationships, and ensure that every recommendation is supported by sound judgement and a clear purpose. Whether we are helping an individual protect a family and personal assets or advising a business on more complex exposures, the same principles apply: listen carefully, explain clearly and recommend only what is relevant.
Looking ahead, I believe technology will make insurance more accessible and responsive, but trusted advice will remain essential. Our aim is to combine personal service, professional expertise and practical digital solutions so that clients receive timely support and feel confident about the protection they choose.
For me, insurance is not simply about arranging a policy. It is about understanding what matters, identifying where protection may be incomplete and helping clients prepare for what comes next.

What I do for ERC
I have worked in insurance since 1986 and have served as Technical Advisor to ERC since 2018. I support the team by reviewing complex risks, challenging assumptions and helping clients make informed and practical insurance decisions.

I began my insurance career as a broker in 1986, developing practical experience in understanding the needs of insurance buyers and working with insurers to structure appropriate solutions. Since 2018, I have served as Technical Advisor to ERC, supporting the team on complex risks, coverage considerations and important client decisions.
My role is to bring an independent and considered perspective to each matter. I review the issues, challenge assumptions where necessary and help identify practical solutions that reflect the client’s circumstances, responsibilities and priorities.
I believe good insurance advice begins with understanding the risk—not simply selecting a policy. Whether ERC is assisting an individual, an SME or a corporate organisation, my focus is to help clarify the options, highlight potential consequences and support decisions that are informed and responsible.
How I see my role
Insurance needs continue to change as businesses, lifestyles and risks evolve. My contribution to ERC is to combine experience with clear judgement, helping the team remain practical, responsive and focused on what genuinely matters to each client.
My aim is simple: to help clients understand the decisions before them and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
